Credits

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I also always find it interesting to know what tools others have used to build their sites. So this page basically outlines the different tools that I have used to build echoenduring.com.

Content Management

With the exception of my the Echo Enduring Blog, this entire site is built with Concrete5, a lean but full-featured open source content management system. It's simple to use, offers an elegant interface and is both powerful and flexible enough to accomplish pretty much everything I need.

The Blog

The one area where I felt that Concrete5 wasn't the best solution was for the blog. For this, I turned to WordPress. I really like this system, and even considered using it for the entire site (but, obviously, chose not too). This gives me a ton of flexibility, the comfort of working with a well established and well documented system, and the ability to extend the blog with a massive library of plugins.

JavaScript Animation

All of the special effects that you see on this website were created using the powerful jQuery JavaScript interface. This powerful tool allows me to apply effects across all my pages with just a few simple lines of code. I use the following jQuery plugins:

Form Styling

You may have noticed some pretty cool looking forms throughout this site. Well the styling is all done with a little app called Niceforms, which comes with a fully customizable photoshop file for creating your own skins. Nice little package.
